The 25th
Annual Mountain Region Speech & Hearing Center and Sertoma Club of
Kingsport Golf Tournament is scheduled for Saturday, May 20, 2017 at
Cattails at Meadowview. The Sertoma Club of Kingsport and the Junior
League established the Center in 1974 to provide speech, language, swallowing
and hearing services for individuals who were either uninsured or
underinsured. Forty years later, Mountain Region Speech & Hearing
Center continues the mission to provide these services for individuals in
Northeast TN and Southwest VA, regardless of their ability to pay.
This year's event will help fund programs for the Mountain Region Speech and
Hearing Center. These programs have resulted in measurable success in
the improved speech, language and swallowing skills of patients.
Appropriate communication and swallowing skills allow individuals to
effectively and efficiently function in the real world. Progress by the
clients with these services is recognized by all concerned: physicians
who refer the patients, their families, and their teachers.
